Each Sunday morning, for 45 minutes, during school term time we hold our Sunday School at 10am. Boys and Girls of primary school age enjoy singing Gospel choruses, memorise verses from the Bible and receive Bible teaching, from experienced teachers using a Bible-based curriculum. We also have Bible Classes for those of Secondary School age and beyond, enabling them to dig deeper into what the Bible has to say and how it applies to their daily lives.

There are three special family events per year – at Christmas, Easter and the prize giving in late May/early June.

We also have a Sunday School outing up to the North Coast each year in early summer which is enjoyed by all.

Saturday Night Fellowship has an attendance of 150-200 every other Saturday from October to March at 8pm.  The great majority of whom are young people.

It is said that a crowd attracts a crowd, but that is not why they come.

The popular attraction of this gathering is the programme of thought-provoking topical subjects of relevance to all in today’s society.

The speakers are well informed, well known Christian men of wide experience with a keen interest in guiding the young.

If you are interested in learning more from the Bible, please plan to attend.  You will be made most welcome.

At the end of each meeting refreshments are available for all to stay, have a chat and a time of fellowship.

Who doesn’t believe in prayer – especially when the crunch comes?

Knowing – because we have proved it by experience – that God hears and answers prayer, we meet to pray for one another and for various needs, local, national and worldwide.

During the months of Oct – March we meet to pray on a Monday night at 8.15pm – 9pm.  During the spring/summer months it is from 8pm – 9pm. Check out our calendar for updates. 

Why Pray?

Three good reasons:-

1. All of us, whether we acknowledge it or not, have much reason to thank God.
2. Contrary to common opinion, we are not at the mercy of events.  Prayer changes things.
3. We are all in need of guidance throughout life and prayer is the key.

Jesus said, “Ask and it shall be given you, seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.” Matthew 7:7

Once a month, usually the last Wednesday at 7.30pm (except June, July and August) a number of Christian ladies meet to prepare parcels. These supplies offer much needed support for missionaries serving the Lord in Ireland, UK, and overseas. Depending on the need, these parcels can contain food, hygiene kits, new clothing or items to help with Sunday Schools.

Acts 4:35  “and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need.”

Each Monday evening at 7pm from October to March we have our Monday Night Children’s Meeting. Around 80 children of primary and secondary school age enjoy singing, verse memorisation, Bible based stories and topical quizzes. The children are well rewarded for attendance, behaviour, good singing and most importantly Bible verse repetition.

Prize night is the highlight of the year, where the children look forward to receiving their prizes for attendance, family and friends are always welcome.

We send buses into all areas of Ballymena, manned by members of our team, to transport the children safely.

The Apostle Paul reminded a young christian man called Timothy, “That from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.”  2 Timothy 3:16

The Conversational Bible Reading is a meeting for the systematic study of the Bible.

We begin by reading a passage of scripture.  Someone then gives an introductory analysis of it and the meeting is then open for discussion.

The discussion is always interesting and informative.  It is amazing how much light is shed on the Bible as one and another contribute what they have learnt from their own study.

This method of Bible study brings the Bible to life with practical implications for all of us.  You are very welcome to come and hear.

This takes place on a Thursday evening at 8pm, excluding July and August.

Jesus said: “Search the scriptures. They ……. Testify of me.”

If you are free for an hour on a Sunday evening you will be very welcome to meet with us.  This is often referred to as our Gospel Meeting. The word “Gospel” is found many times in the Bible, and means “Good News”.

This is a time of hymn singing, interesting readings from the Bible and a simple explanation of how to get to Heaven through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

The meeting is from 6.30pm – 7.30pm every Sunday.  Expect during the summer months of June, July & August when it is from 4.30pm – 5.30pm.

We also arrange Gospel Meetings from time to time in other locations in our Community, sometimes in schools, tents and various other centres throughout Ballymena. Check out our home page for up-to-date information.

These meetings are for everyone in our Community.  Come along and bring your family. There is no collection, no appeal, no pressure – just a warm welcome.

Mark 16:15 the Lord Jesus himself said, “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel….”

Every Sunday from 11:30am – 1pm.

Sometimes referred to as ‘The Breaking of Bread’, this is the occasion when the Christians gather specifically to remember the Lord Jesus in His death on the cross. In Luke 22:19-20 The Lord Jesus Christ commanded His disciples to keep this ordinance “in remembrance of Me”.

Carrying on from this, as recorded in the Acts of the Apostles, Christians carried out this service regularly on the first day of the week (Acts 20:7). Every Sunday morning we continue to obey this command and gather to remember the Lord Jesus Christ.

While every meeting of the local church is important, the Remembrance Meeting is especially significant. Every Christian in our fellowship partakes of the physical symbols of the bread and the cup – they symbolise the body and blood of the Lord Jesus Christ as given for us at Calvary. The Bible describes this as a “proclamation” In this way we proclaim His death until He returns to take all Christians to heaven (1 Corinthians 11:26).

While participation is for those Christians in fellowship, all are welcome to come and observe.
